Marshall is 7-1 against Jacksonville since October of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. While Jacksonville was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Texas' winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-23.

Jacksonville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 23-15.

Marshall came out on top in a nail-biter against Jacksonville when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mavericks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
