Jackson won against Mayfield on Saturday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Polar Bears' pitchers stepped up to hand the McKinley Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Polar Bears have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Jackson's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for McKinley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Jackson will have a chance to go back-to-back against McKinley: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
