Basketball Recap: East Central Comes Up Short

East Central lost against Deer River back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The East Central Eagles took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deer River Warriors.

East Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Deer River, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

When East Central and Deer River next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. East Central will try to stop Barnum's five-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Meanwhile, Deer River will take on Bigfork and their six-game winning streak at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
