Brimfield had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won by a set and slipped past the Biggsville West Central Heat 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Leading Brimfield to victory were Ashlyn Vaughn and Ella Helms. Vaughn had three digs and two aces, while Helms had six digs.

Despite the loss, Biggsville West Central saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lilly Higgins had 15 kills, 11 digs, three blocks, and two aces. Higgins has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 33 times she's played. Lauren Winters was another key player, getting ten digs and six blocks.

Brimfield's win bumped their record up to 20-7. As for Biggsville West Central, they moved to 14-14 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Brimfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Knoxville on the 29th. Biggsville West Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
