Basketball Recap: Grove Christian School Comes Up Short

Grove Christian School lost against The Carmel School back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grove Christian School Falcons came up short against The Carmel School Wildcats, falling 88-63. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Wildcats are ranked 124th).

The Carmel School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Watson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten assists. Another player making a difference was Edoardo Marra, who went 10 for 15 en route to 22 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Grove Christian School is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8. As for The Carmel School, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.

Grove Christian School has already played their next game (against Grace Christian School), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. The Carmel School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-57 loss against St. Christopher's on the 18th.
