Preview: Glenelg Gladiators vs. Liberty Lions
The Glenelg Gladiators will head out on the road to face off against the Liberty Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Glenelg is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Monday, it was a hard-fought game, but Glenelg had to settle for a 57-54 defeat against Westminster.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 32-32 at halftime, Liberty was not quite Manchester Valley's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Liberty was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to Manchester Valley. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Glenelg now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Glenelg came up short against Liberty when the teams last played back in January, falling 46-34. Can Glenelg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
