Basketball Recap: Holmes County Central Takes a Loss

Holmes County Central suffered their biggest loss since November 7, 2024 on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 62-29 loss at the hands of the Collierville Dragons.

Collierville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jekhyra Rodgers, who went 8 of 11 en route to 21 points and seven steals. Another player making a difference was Ehi Aigbomian, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Holmes County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Collierville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Holmes County Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-43 victory against Leake Central on the 27th. As for Collierville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-19 win against St. George's on the 27th.
