Volleyball Recap: Bellmont Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Bellmont had lost three straight headed into Friday's match, but Mason Mankey didn't let it get to four. Bellmont walked away with a 3-1 victory over Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian on Friday for which the team can thank Mankey, who had 15 digs and three aces. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times he's played.

Bellmont had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-15, 25-16, 25-18.

Bellmont picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-10. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bellmont will face off against Fort Wayne Wayne at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, they will take on Homestead at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
