Baseball Recap: Johnson Beats Clark for Their Third Straight Win

Johnson extended their winning streak to three on Thursday, bumping them up to 12-10. They had just enough and edged out the Clark Cougars 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-1 on Wednesday.

As for Clark, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-18. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs.

For Clark's part, Tyler Hummel and JD Brightwell did some serious damage despite the final result: Hummel went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Brightwell got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

Coming up, Johnson is taking a road trip to square off against United at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clark does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
