Lufkin's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 4-24.

Everything came up roses for Lufkin against Marshall in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 54-24 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lufkin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
