Radford had lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-7 to make it 14. They lost 17-5 to the Floyd County Buffaloes. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kaydence Rollins was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Kenzi Hamilton also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

As for Floyd County, their record now sits at 7-1. Considering they have won five games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Floyd County's side, Emma Biesterveld made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). Biesterveld has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Addison Allen was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Winslet Vassar, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Radford will head out to challenge Carroll County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Floyd County, they will venture away from home to take on Patrick County at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Buffaloes surely won't give up without a fight.
