It was a classic East v. West duel when East duked it out with West on Thursday. The Aces came out on top against the Pioneers by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: East took both sets by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13.

Among those leading the charge was Layla Larson, who had seven digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in August.

East's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-22-3 record this season.

East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Clearwater on the 11th. As for West, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 0-0 tie against De Soto on the 11th.
