Basketball Recap: Spring Creek Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Spring Creek can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Seaforth Hawks and fell 73-15. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while the Hawks are ranked 30th).

Spring Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Seaforth, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 25-2.

Spring Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seaforth, they will challenge Clinton on Friday. One thing working in Seaforth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.
