Volleyball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

Baldwin lost against West Franklin back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Baldwin sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-22, 24-26, 25-15, 22-25, 15-10.

West Franklin was led to victory by Berkley Love and Sophia Steele. Love had 31 digs, while Steele had 16 digs and two aces. Those 31 digs gave Love a new career-high.

Baldwin has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13-2 record this season. As for West Franklin, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 7-13 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Baldwin beat the Falcons by a score of 2-0 on Saturday.
