Preview: Anna Coyotes vs. Eastern Hills Highlanders
The Anna Coyotes are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Eastern Hills Highlanders at 7:30 p.m. on February 27th. Anna will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Eastern Hills is ranked 84th).
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Anna had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats and snuck past 47-45.
Brandon Webber was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Emmers, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Eastern Hills waltzed into their game on Friday with 17 straight wins but they left with 18. They secured a 64-59 W over Van Alstyne. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Anna has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-14 record this season. As for Eastern Hills, their win bumped their record up to 29-4.
