Coffee County Central came tearing into Saturday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Forrest Rockets.

Kasen Shores tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Landan Abellana was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Davis McKenzie also deserves some recognition as he hit his first doubles of the season.
