Basketball Recap: Daniel Boone Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 90-37, which was the final score in the Daniel Boone Trailblazers's tilt against the Providence Day Chargers on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 147th in Tennessee, while the Chargers are ranked tenth in North Carolina).

Daniel Boone's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Providence Day, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Daniel Boone and Lake Norman will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Norman will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Daniel Boone surely won't give up without a fight. As for Providence Day, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Covenant Day at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
