Basketball Game Preview: Memphis Yellowjackets vs. Genesee Wolves

The Memphis Yellowjackets will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Genesee Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Memphis will be strutting in after a win while Genesee will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with 30 losses in a row dating back to last season, Memphis turned things around against Landmark Academy on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 61-33 victory over Landmark Academy. The Yellowjackets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Genesee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 54-40 fall against Hill-McCloy.

Memphis' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Genesee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Things could have been worse for Memphis, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 58-43 loss to Genesee when the teams last played back in January. Can Memphis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
