Volleyball Game Preview: Grantsville Cowboys vs. North Sanpete Hawks

The Grantsville Cowboys will face off against the North Sanpete Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Grantsville will be strutting in after a win while North Sanpete will be coming in after a defeat.

Grantsville took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Ben Lomond as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Scots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Grantsville was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-9, 25-17.

Meanwhile, North Sanpete lost 3-0 to Spanish Fork on Monday. The Hawks have struggled against the Dons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-13, 25-16.

Grantsville will have to contain Bradley Strange as he made an impact in North Sanpete's last game. He had 18 digs. Strange has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times he's played.

North Sanpete's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Grantsville, their victory bumped their record up to 9-15.

Grantsville took their win against North Sanpete in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Cowboys have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
