Basketball Recap: King's Academy Triumphs

King's Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 63-59 W over the Branson Bulls.

King's Academy found their leader in sophomore Boss Mhoon, who went 7-for-12 en route to 15 points along with seven boards and three steals. Mhoon is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Scotty Beamish Jr, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

Branson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, King's Academy will take on Los Altos in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Branson, they will venture away from home to take on Oakland Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
