After having lost a blowout in their previous game against McClatchy, West Park was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Antelope Titans 7-5. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Isabella Huston, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Gabriella McNay, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The victory got West Park back to even at 5-5. As for Antelope, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Park will welcome Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Antelope, they will square off against Cordova at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
