After losing to Alexandria the last time they met, Sartell-St. Stephen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Sabres walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Cardinals on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sabres.

Brady Thompson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Thompson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run.

In other batting news, Mateo Segura was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Sartell-St. Stephen's record now sits at 2-0. As for Alexandria, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sartell-St. Stephen will face off against St. Michael-Albertville at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Alexandria, they will challenge Sauk Rapids-Rice at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
