1B Southeast (8 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012
Liberty Christian extended the longest winning streak in 1B Southeast (8 Man) this week by beating Touchet, 54-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Patriots.
LaCrosse/Washtucna was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to second in the league. The Tigercats vanquished Sunnyside Christian 50-6 earlier in the week.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between LaCrosse/Washtucna and Colton/Pullman Christian. Jeff Nelson's team enters the game ranked seventh in the state, while the Wildcats ranks 10th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Liberty Christian takes on Garfield-Palouse. Mike Olson's team has allowed 32 points this season, while the Vikings have given up 76.
Pomeroy led 1B Southeast (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 64 points on St. John-Endicott.
