Thomson made his presence known in Yuma's 14-13 victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Tuesday Jonathan Thomson stepped things up a notch to give Yuma the 'W'. Merino had no answer to Thomson as he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Thomson and Yuma will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Caliche at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Yuma is 8-2 against Caliche going back to March of 2016, a lead they'll look to extend.
