Softball Recap: Quincy Blue Devils vs. Rock Island Rocks
Quincy took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Rock Island, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Rocks on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted since March 19th.

Maylee Tipton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
