Basketball Game Preview: Jackson County Panthers vs. Loganville Red Devils

Jackson County hasn't had much luck against Loganville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jackson County Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Loganville Red Devils at 8:30 p.m. Jackson County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Loganville likes a good challenge.

Jackson County fought the good fight in their overtime game against Alcovy on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Tigers are ranked 128th).

Meanwhile, Loganville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 78-73 heartbreaker at the hands of Alcovy.

Loganville's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Jackson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-16.
