Basketball Recap: Orangewood Christian Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

There's no place like home for Orangewood Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They secured a 58-54 W over the Lake Mary Prep Griffins on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Rams' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 663rd, while the Griffins are ranked 276th).

Orangewood Christian's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Lake Mary Prep, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-3 record.

Orangewood Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Father Lopez at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Lake Mary Prep will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Sebastian River at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
