Soccer Game Preview: Western Brown vs. Batavia

The Western Brown Broncos will head out to face off against the Batavia Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Western Brown's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Clinton-Massie with a sharp 5-0 win. It was an even better day for Kendall Hanlon as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Batavia made sure to put some goals up on the board against New Richmond on Tuesday. They blew past the Lions 7-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Batavia's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 160th, while New Richmond are ranked 435th).

Batavia's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-3. As for Western Brown, their win bumped their record up to 15-0.

Western Brown came out on top in a nail-biter against Batavia in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
