Basketball Recap: Vasquez Comes Up Short

Vasquez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 61-39 to the West Ranch Wildcats.

When it comes to explaining why Vasquez lost, don't look at Gavin Battey. Despite the final result, he posted eight points and 12 rebounds. Tracy Cathy also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Vasquez's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Ranch, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Vasquez has already played their next matchup (against Lancaster), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for West Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-48 defeat against Grant on the 28th.
