They weren't the only good servers: Washington was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in seven consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Aberdeen Central came up short against Jefferson on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cavaliers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 19-25, 25-16, 25-19.

Aberdeen Central's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.
