Evangel Christian Academy entered their tilt with Heritage Christian Academy on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They took down the Heritage Christian Academy Eagles 52-34. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 57th, while the Eagles are ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evangel Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
