Baseball Game Preview: Poly Parrots vs. San Fernando Tigers

The Poly Parrots will take on the San Fernando Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Poly's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so San Fernando's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Poly earned a 4-1 victory over Verdugo Hills.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask San Fernando). Their pitchers stepped up to hand North Hollywood a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for San Fernando and bumps their season record up to 14-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Poly, their victory bumped their record up to 19-8.

Poly skirted past San Fernando 5-3 when the teams last played back in April. Do the Parrots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
