Volleyball Recap: Bertrand Falls to Southwest in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Bertrand had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the Southwest Roughriders. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Roughriders: they've now lost six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-18.

Livia Philips paced Bertrand's offense, picking up eight kills. Philips got some help from Addison Andersen and her 11 assists.

Bertrand will head out on the road to square off against Elm Creek on Tuesday. As for Southwest, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wauneta-Palisade at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
