The Danbury Hatters will head out on the road to take on the Westhill Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Danbury is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season.

Danbury's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Ludlowe. That's two games straight that the Hatters have won by exactly three runs.

Not much got past Abigail O'Dell, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Ludlowe off the board.

On the hitting side, Danbury's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jacqueline Marks, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Westhill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 12-6 to Ridgefield. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Vikings' highest-scoring match to date.

The win made it two in a row for Danbury and bumps their season record up to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Westhill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Danbury beat Westhill 4-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hatters since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
