Basketball Recap: Duarte Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Duarte took on Gabrielino on Saturday. The Duarte Falcons received a blow as they fell 50-34 to the Gabrielino Eagles. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Duarte has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Gabrielino, they moved to 1-10 with that win, which also ended their 11-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duarte will host The Webb Schools at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gabrielino will take on Arroyo in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
