Football Game Preview: West Branch Warriors vs. North Star Cougars + How To Watch

West Branch is 0-3 against North Star since September of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Warriors will head out to challenge the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. West Branch has given up an average of 47.1 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

West Branch is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Moshannon Valley on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors were outmatched by the Black Knights/Damsels and fell 55-6. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-6.

Meanwhile, North Star entered their matchup against Berlin Brothersvalley on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cougars fell 14-9 to the Mountaineers.

North Star didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Bryson Durst and Louis Lepley.

West Branch's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for North Star, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

West Branch was taken down by North Star 48-6 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
