Washington Township suffers third straight loss on the road

The Washington Township Senators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Knox. Washington Township has not had much luck with Knox recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Washington Township lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dylan Andrews, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Andrews scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Rob Mcgowan, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Knox found their leader in underclassman Myles Mclaughlin, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rowen Jordan, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.

Washington Township's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Knox, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Washington Township's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kouts at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Kouts is ranked 339th, while Washington Township is ranked 353rd). As for Knox, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against West Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. West Central has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 30.
