Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Kennedy's 14th in Last 17 Outings

Kennedy barely beat Bulls College Prep the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crusaders blew past the Bulls 16-10 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won 14 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Christian Estreda was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Jaycob Solorio was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kennedy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Kennedy is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Bulls College Prep, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Kennedy and Bulls College Prep are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Crusaders will face off against Evergreen Park at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bulls College Prep, they will challenge Mather at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
