Baseball Game Preview: Cornerstone Christian Cyclones vs. Ridgeview Mustangs

Cornerstone Christian is 1-7 against Ridgeview since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cyclones will challenge the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Cornerstone Christian lost 13-3 to Lexington on Tuesday. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Ridgeview came up short against Deer Creek-Mackinaw on Monday, falling 16-7.

Ridgeview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Crowley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Another was Kane Aupperle, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Ridgeview has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-3-1 record this season. As for Cornerstone Christian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Cornerstone Christian suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Ridgeview when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Can the Cyclones avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
