Volleyball Recap: Lutheran South Takes a Loss

If Lutheran South was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lutheran North on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lancers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ursuline Academy Bears on Wednesday. The Lancers were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-11, 22-25, 25-23.

Lutheran South's offense was headlined by Aliyah Bausch and Claire Nelson, who picked up ten kills apiece. They were helped by Katie Bond and Lilly Willis, who contributed ten assists each.

Lutheran South's record now sits at 4-18-2. As for Ursuline Academy, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Lutheran South will take on Principia at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ursuline Academy, they will face off against Windsor at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
