Basketball Recap: Whiting Falls Short of Boone Grove in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Whiting can now relate to. They lost 66-44 to the Boone Grove Wolves on Wednesday. The defeat leaves the Oilers still looking for their first win of the season.

Boone Grove's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Stevens, who posted 16 points. The contest was Stevens' eighth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Kinsey, who had eight points and four steals.

Whiting's record now sits at 0-24. As for Boone Grove, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season.

Whiting does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boone Grove, they will square off against Hebron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Boone Grove will be up against Hebron's rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.57 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
