Elk Grove entered their tilt with Cosumnes Oaks on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Wolfpack. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-0 on Tuesday.

Anthony Bascherini looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four matches.

On the hitting side, Tristen Bartlett was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Jones, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI.

Elk Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Elk Grove's record now sits at 14-9. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
