Softball Recap: Memorial's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Memorial had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Northbrook Raiders 13-0. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Elise Adams was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles.

In other batting news, Brooke Kearns was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Addie Beckcom was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Memorial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive games.

Memorial pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Northbrook, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Memorial has already played their next contest, an 18-3 win against Jersey Village on the 21st. As for Northbrook, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-1 loss against Cypress Creek on the 21st.
