Recap: Soquel Knights vs. Jurupa Hills Spartans
With a playoff game on the line, the Soquel Knights rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the Spartans as they made off with a 28-7 win. Soquel might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Soquel was led to victory by Jordan Mccord and Sam Whelan. Mccord picked up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Whelan threw for 152 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Soquel's defense and their five sacks. In that department, Cade Petersen was the leader with four sacks.
The win (which was Soquel's tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 18.8 points. As for Jurupa Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
Soquel does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jurupa Hills also has no future games currently scheduled.
