Volleyball Recap: Humble Comes Up Short

Humble was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Summer Creek Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-8, 25-16.

Jaci Casas paced Humble's offense, picking up eight kills. Casas got some help from Dalila Ramirez and her seven assists.

Humble's loss dropped their record down to 12-22. As for Summer Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Humble is set to challenge their familiar foe Goose Creek Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Summer Creek will take on rival Kingwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
