Baseball Recap: Hazelwood West Comes Up Short

Hazelwood West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 11-0 to the Mehlville Panthers. Surprisingly, this marked the Wildcats' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Hazelwood West's loss dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Mehlville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hazelwood West will welcome Ritenour at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Mehlville, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Ladue Horton Watkins at 4:30 p.m.
