Basketball Recap: Yulee Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Alexis Charron and Rheyna Hilton

Yulee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 67-49 fall against the Bishop Snyder Cardinals. One positive for the Hornets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Yulee's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rheyna Hilton, who went 7 for 9 on her way to 21 points in addition to six boards and three blocks, and Alexis Charron, who posted nine points. Those nine points gave Charron a new career-high.

Bishop Snyder's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bryonna Grimes led the charge by going 6 of 12 on her way to 17 points along with seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Gaines, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds.

Yulee's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Bishop Snyder, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Yulee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-16 victory against West Nassau on the 10th. As for Bishop Snyder, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-34 win against Mandarin on the 10th.
