Volleyball Game Preview: Cheney Blackhawks vs. Lewis & Clark Tigers

The Cheney Blackhawks will face off against the Lewis & Clark Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Cheney was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past Shadle Park 3-2. The Blackhawks haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Cheney was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 18-25, 27-25, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Lewis & Clark hadn't done well against Gonzaga Prep recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bullpups, sneaking past 3-2.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lewis & Clark got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 21-25, 25-22, 15-25, 15-10.

Cheney's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-6. As for Lewis & Clark, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
