Volleyball Game Preview: Pope Greyhounds vs. Woodward Academy War Eagles

The Pope Greyhounds will face off against the Woodward Academy War Eagles on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Pope sitting on six straight victories and Woodward Academy on seven.

Pope is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against Johns Creek by a score of 3-1.

Pope was especially dominant in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 19-25, 25-15, 28-19.

Meanwhile, Woodward Academy got the win against Northgate on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0.

Woodward Academy's win bumped their record up to 36-6. As for Pope, their victory bumped their record up to 31-8.

Everything went Pope's way against Woodward Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as Pope made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Greyhounds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the War Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
