Baseball Recap: Benson Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Benson proved they can win big last Monday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the St. Augustine Catholic Wolves, sneaking past 7-5. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Benson pushed their record up to 12-10-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Benson will welcome ALA - West Foothills at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Augustine Catholic, they will host Desert Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
